Never assume the funder knows who you are—describe your organization clearly and simply. Make your budget transparent and directly aligned with your narrative. Always check eligibility and follow guidelines. Brainstorm by asking, “What’s the need? Who’s managing it? What difference will it make?” For complex projects, use post-it notes to build a Gantt or PERT chart and incorporate strong governance and communication systems.
